Samuel Roy Alexander

Samuel Roy Alexander, age 91 of Fultondale, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday December 5, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Simuel and Gracie Alexander; his wife of 67 years, Bernice L. Alexander; grandson, Scott Hardisty; great-grandsons, Wesley and Wade Hardisty.

He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Hardisty (Bill) and Brenda Scott (Bennis); grandchildren, Jeff Hardisty (Mary), Steve Hardisty (Kellie), Kevin Scott (Stacy), Kendall Scott (Nancy) and Kimberly Scott; great and great-great grandchildren, Jessica, Jami, Corey, Samantha, Dalton, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Kasen, Luna, Emery, Jagger, Griffin, Sonya, Blake, Cameron, Bailey, Lucas, Rhett, and Charley Mae; brothers and sisters, Elodene McGill, Ilene Watts, Virginia Beasley, Becky Harris, Jerry Alexander, Gurvis Brashier and Gladys Black.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday December 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Alexander officiating.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are by Walker Chapel Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 205-849-5000, Fultondale.
