Elizabeth "Beth" Hamilton

Mrs. Elizabeth “Beth” Hamilton, born on February 1, 1949, passed into the arms of Jesus on February 10, 2018 at Brookwood hospital.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents; James L. and Margaret Louise Bennett and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Darrell Hamilton, five married children, twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brother; Jim Bennett (Dean), sister-in-law; Edna Fisher, brother-in-law; Kent Hamilton (Jum), as well as a host of extended family and friends. She will be remembered as an avid miniaturist, a member of N.A.M.E., and Little Bits of Alabama. She was a very active member of East Gardendale Baptist Church and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Beth was instrumental in starting the Caring Hearts Bereavement Group and Operation Christmas Child. She and her husband were also both proud members of Gideons International.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 12:00 p. m . until 2:00 with funeral services beginning at 2:00 in the Chapel at Walker Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens. Reverend Mark Barber officiating. Pallbearers will be Billy Henley, Mike Collins, Glen Kinnard, Sid Jones, Larry Melton, and Brian Wallace .
