Robinson Scott Gann

Scott Gann passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at age 84.  He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, JoAnn Gann; one daughter, Lori Mayfield (Keith); two grandchildren, Trent Mayfield (Abby) and Karlee Mayfield; one sister, Carol Ellen Nix (Tommy); and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, William Carroll and Mary Ellen Gann and his parents-in-law, Bernice and Rena Hubbert.  Scott proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 255.  He retired from the City of Fultondale after over 20 years of service.  He was an avid Alabama football fan and loved his family.  He was most proud of his grandchildren.  They were his pride and joy.  Visitation will be Friday, February 23, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home. Scott will be laid to rest on his 85th birthday in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens at a 1:00 p.m. graveside.
