John Robert Leonard

John Robert “Johnny” Leonard passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at age 58.  He is survived by two sons, Ryan Leonard (Tiffany) and Justin Leonard (Lex Finwall); Hadleigh, Ana, Mason, Daniel, Lilleigh, Pangaea, Achilles, Elias and baby Luci expected to make her entrance in the world in July; sisters, Joanne Goodmon (Roger), Amy Leonard (Kyle Smith) and Michelle Griffin (Steve); nieces and nephews, Cara, April, Shauna, Holly, Denisa, Toni, Kailey, and Colby; uncles, Bill Leonard (Mouresa) and Bobby Leonard (Jane); and a host of great nieces & nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.  John was preceded in death by his grandson, Jameson Leonard; his parents, John Paul and Ann Leonard; and one uncle, Jimmy Leonard.  He was a loving, prideful, stubborn and brave man.  He was loyal to his friends and family and would do anything to help people he could.  He was passionate about drag racing and loved talking about it so much he would convince others they loved it too.  Most of all he loved his family.  Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Walker Chapel Cemetery.
