Ray D Toombs

Mr. Ray Dewain Toombs of Fultondale, passed away at the age of 74 on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. He was a retired Mountain Brook Police officer. He is preceded in death by his brother, Reuben Toombs and grandson, Mitchell Ray Toombs. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jann Toombs; daughter, Pacia Reid; son, Ray D. Toombs, Jr. ; sister, Faye Cornelius and  grandchildren, Matthew Wain Toombs, Mitchell Ray Toombs, Sydny Reid, Ronald J. Reid and Miler Reid. Visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Toombs Service will be held Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Blount County. Brother Mika Marcum and Brother Glenn Bynum will be officiating.
