Ralph Herbert Warren, Jr.

Ralph Herbert Warren, Jr., age 90 of Gardendale, passed away on January 1, 2017 at Walker Baptist Hospital in Jasper.  He had recently resided at Ridgeview Healthcare in Jasper.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a retired mechanic from Transus Company.  He was a longtime member of Gardendale Mt. Vernon UMC.
He was born December 16, 1926 in Birmingham to Ralph Herbert Warren, Sr and Sarah Frances Parker Warren.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Emma Jean Ray Warren, his parents and a brother, Clarence Warren.
Survivors include sons, Neil Warren (Margo), Jerry Warren (Deborah) and daughter, Kathleen W. McLendon (Allen) all of Gardendale, and a daughter Regina W. Ergle (Tex) of Jasper.  Six grandchildren, Jerry N. Warren (Renee), Sarah E. Baumhoff (Ken), Kellie Warren, Ashley W. Scott (Trey), Melissa M. Sprouse (Brett), Russell McLendon and three great-grandchildren.  Surviving brothers are Charles Warren (Elizabeth) of Bremen, John T. Warren (Mary Ann) of Atlanta, and sisters Betty Ann Malone of Gardendale and Nancy W. Hughes (Bill) of Orange Beach.
Visitation will be at Gardendale Mt. Vernon UMC on Thursday January 5, 2017 starting at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.  Walker Chapel Funeral Home, 205-849-5000 Fultondale, is directing.
