Over 100 years ago, Walker Chapel Cemetery was established in Fultondale, Alabama. In the late 1970’s Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens was established and now has five developed gardens including a Garden of Honor to pay tribute to the men and women of the Armed Services who give so much to our country and for our freedom. The gardens are also home to a beautiful granite mausoleum which sits overlooking the memorial gardens and the lush landscaping.
All burials for the memorial gardens are arranged through the cemetery office located inside of Walker Chapel Funeral Home. In 1994, Walker Chapel Funeral Home was built to serve the families of Jefferson County. In 2002, the Lawrence family purchased both the funeral home and the memorial gardens in which they still own today. In 2010, the Lawrence family partnered with Mike Yates and Jason Mckiddy, longtime local funeral directors, to better serve the famiies in our area.
